Week 3 in the NFL couldn’t have gone worse for QB Russell Wilson and the Giants. The Giants lost a tough home matchup 22-9 against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Giants are now 0-3, and Head coach Brian Daboll will start rookie QB Jaxson Dart in Week 4 against the L.A. Chargers. Russell Wilson’s deplorable Week 3 performance has relegated the 36-year-old to the bench. Wilson completed 18 passes on 32 attempts for 160 yards, no touchdowns, and 2 interceptions while rushing for 27 yards.

Wilson’s Week 3 production was difficult to ignore. Giants fans were booing Wilson most of the night, as the veteran QB made terrible reads. Wilson’s biggest problem is his inability to find the top receivers at times. Despite playing behind an offensive line that is less than stellar, Wilson is also taking too many sacks with 7 already. Fantasy managers who may have drafted Wilson in 14-team leagues may have to look elsewhere. The 36-year-old’s status as a starter for Week 4 is now as backup QB as Coach Daboll looks to Jaxson Dart for a spark.

Rookie RB Cameron Skattebo led all backs in touches in Week 3. Skattebo has been impressive early on, displaying his speed, power, and elusiveness. Skattebo’s rushing stat line of 10-60-1 helped the NY Giants score their only touchdown on Sunday, but it also guaranteed the rookie’s role as lead back. The Rookie also added 6 catches for 60 yards to end his breakout night. Fantasy managers should feel great that Skattebo was the bright star in Week 3 for the Giants, so Coach Daboll will be looking to get the rookie more touches.

Fantasy managers who drafted RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. in their ESPN drafts will need to consider possibly benching or dropping Tracy Jr. in Week 4. Tracy Jr.’s Week 3 stat line of 7-29-0 was due to an early injury in the 1st quarter of the game. Fantasy managers should be aware that Tracy Jr.’s value isn’t completely gone, but his injury is one to monitor for Sunday. Giants coach Brian Daboll has yet to determine the roles for his RB committee.

Giants WR Malik Nabers‘ 2-13-0 stat line in Week 3 did no favors for fantasy managers. The talented receiver continues to underwhelm in his second year of his NFL career due to QB Russell Wilson’s performance. Fantasy managers should not rush to put Nabers on the bench for Week 4, as rumors of a QB change for the Giants may help boost Nabers’ projections. Wan’Dale Robinson also struggled mightily with a 1-26-0 stat line in Week 3 against the Chiefs. Robinson could not repeat his elite Week 2 performance, but like Nabers, fantasy managers should see if the rookie QB will start Week 4.

The New York Jets lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-29 in Week 3. Jets head coach Aaron Glenn stated they are not “the same ol Jets” despite the 0-3 start to the season. With QB Justin Fields out, veteran backup QB Tyrod Taylor commanded the Jets offense under center. Taylor played well, so anyone who needed a QB for their Week 3 league matchups was rewarded nicely. Taylor completed 26 passes for 197 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception while adding 48 yards on 8 carries. Taylor’s strong performance was encouraging to see, as Justin Fields is currently in the concussion protocol. Taylor’s status for Week 4 is one to monitor; if Justin Fields returns, he will take over as QB 1.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson delivered an impressive game with QB Taylor dropping him dimes. Fantasy managers staring Wilson were rewarded with a 10-84-1 from the young receiver despite facing a rugged defense from the Buccaneers. The Jets will face off against Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, so expect Wilson to feast.

Jets RB Breece Hall ended his Week 3 with a stat line of 9 carries for 21 yards while adding 4 catches for 31 yards and no touchdowns. Hall could not get the ground game going in Week 3. The Jets split Hall’s carries with teammate Braelon Allen, negatively impacting his usage. Allen finished with 6 carries for 31 rushing yards and caught 2 passes for 17 yards and no touchdowns. The Jets were forced to go off script with Justin Fields out, so I expect Breece Hall to get more carries in Week 4 against the Dolphins.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins 21-31 in an easy win in Week 3. Bills QB Josh Allen was phenomenal again, with 25 rushing yards on 4 carries as well as completing 22 passes on 28 attempts for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns. Through the first 3 games of the season, Allen has lived up to his MVP status in 2025. Fantasy managers should feel good that Allen is healthy and locked in. Allen leads the Bills into an advantageous Week 4 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Bills RB James Cook feasted in Week 3 with 19 carries for 108 rushing yards and 1 touchdown while adding 3 catches for 10 yards. Cook was all over the field, running through defensive linemen with ease. The agile Cook is locked in so far in 2025; fantasy managers should note that Cook is lined up for another heavy usage game in Week 4 in New Orleans.

Bills WR Khalil Shakir ended his week 3 with 4 catches for 45 yards and 1 touchdown. Shakir had a modest game against the Dolphins as the game script did not require an aggressive air attack. Shakir has been steady for fantasy managers so far, and as Josh Allen’s favorite target so far, Shakir is poised for a big game in Week 4.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid also joined the touchdown celebrations in Week 3. Kincaid had been underutilized in the first 2 games of the NFL season, but QB Allen flipped that script early in the game. Kincaid finished with 5 receptions for 66 yards and 1 touchdown. Kincaid was a top receiver for Allen for 2 seasons prior, so maybe Week 3’s performance will open up greater opportunities for the elusive tight end. Kincaid will look for another big game in Week 4 against the Saints.
