Brian Daboll

New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll failed to disappoint in Week 9, losing 34-24 to the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants are 2-7 this season, continuing another lost season despite notable roster additions. Rookie RB Cam Skattebo had a successful surgery to repair his injured ankle. Skattebo’s presence in the Giants’ lineup was essential, but Daboll could be coaching for his job after another uninspiring Week 9 performance. Despite Rookie QB Jaxson Dart’s versatility as a mobile passer, the offense is stale on most drives. The Giants fail to put together purposeful drives while appearing to callthe same play continuously. Even with a healthy roster to begin the season, Daboll and his staff have utilized their talent poorly. The Giants will face a formidable Chicago Bears team in Week 10.

Jaxson Dart

Rookie QB Jaxson Dart performed as expected for fantasy managers in Week 9 with 27.24 fantasy points. Dart is stud regardless of the Giants ‘ stellar coaching. Dart completed 24/33 pass attempts for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dart added 8 carries for 56 yards on the ground and 1 touchdown to lead all Giants backs. Dart’s Week 9 performance was impressive despite another Giants loss. Fantasy managers should expect a shootout now that the run game is stale. The Giants’ rookie remains a top 10 QB heading into a Week 10 matchup with Caleb Williams and the Bears.

Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Giants RB Tracy Jr. was less involved in the offense in Week 9 following Cam Skattebo’s season-ending ankle injury. Fantasy managers were dismayed that the 2nd year RB handled 5 carries for 18 yards with 3 catches for 19 yards and no touchdowns. Tracy Jr.’s role appeared to be limited in Week 9 as he was outplayed by fellow back Devin Singletary. The veteran back handled 8 carries for 43 yards and 2 receptions for 8 yards and no touchdowns. The Giants may be inclined to continue this RB committee with Singletary and Tracy Jr.. The fantasy value for these RBs has diminished greatly, barring an injury or increased role. Both RBs are risky week 10 plays, so fantasy managers should find better options.

Wan’Dale Robinson

Giants WR Robinson continues to play well in the Giants offense, finishing Week 9 with 9 catches for 46 yards and no touchdowns. The Giants receiver remains a steady short to intermediate target for Jaxson Dart and PPR fantasy leagues. Despite the low yardage total, Robinson’s modest 13.6 points in fantasy are solid flex numbers. Robinson’s 11 targets led all Giants receivers, and I expect another top 20 performance in Week 10.

Theo Johnson

TE Theo Johnson’s performance in Week 9 for the Giants was modest, with 3 catches for 27 yards and 1 touchdown. Fantasy managers should feel good about Johnson’s value in a struggling Giants offense. Johnson is a touchdown-dependent TE, but his 11.7 points in fantasy are enough to retain Jaxson Dart’s attention in the red zone. Johnson remains a valuable asset in PPR leagues due to the inefficiency at the position this season. Johnson has an appealing Week 10 matchup with the Bears.

Darius Slayton

Slayton led all NY Giants receivers in total yards in Week 9 with 62 on 5 receptions and no touchdowns. Fantasy managers looking for another receiver due to injury should consider Slayton’s services. Slayton’s deep threat ability is crucial for the Giants, especially with the loss of Malik Nabers. Slayton’s usage continues to increase since returning from injury in Week 8. The Giants’ offense is stale at the moment, but Week 10’s matchup should provide another opportunity for Slayton to improve his 19-254-0 stat line this season. Fantasy managers looking for help at WR should consider Slayton against the Bears.

Jets Week 10

Justin Fields faces the Cleveland Browns in Week 10 after a BYE in Week 9. The young QB will face plenty of defensive pressure from Myles Garrett and the Browns’ linemen. Field’s fantasy projection for 16.7 points in Week 10 is generous, but managers should stay clear of this matchup unless necessary. The Browns’ pass defense is currently ranked 4th in the NFL, allowing opponents 147 air yards per game. The fantasy manager can find better options at QB for Week 10.

Breece Hall

Hall’s value is high coming off a great Week 8 performance against the Bengals. In Week 10, however, Hall faces a tough challenge. Fantasy managers should keep expectations in check as the Browns rank 1st in run defense, allowing 57.3 yards to running backs this season. Hall’s 14.4 projection for Week 10 is enticing, placing Hall as the only Jets player managers should start despite a difficult challenge.

Garrett Wilson

Wilson is returning to practice this, as stated by Jets head coach Aaron Glenn. Wilson has been injured since hyperextending his knee in Week 6, so seeing his status improve for Week 10 is a great sign. The Jets’ season is done with a 1-7 record, but Wilson’s return does provide stability for the offense and Fantasy managers alike. If Wilson does return to action in Week 10, his 13.7 point projections are enough for a flex spot.

Mason Taylor

Taylor has been a key player during Garrett Wilson’s absence, providing fantasy managers with a serviceable 29-242-1 stat line. Taylor’s Week 10 matchup is unfavorable as the Brown’s allow 47 yards or less to the Tight End position. Taylor is a risky start in PPR fantasy leagues, and if Garret Wilson returns, his target share will diminish.
